Frequently Asked Questions
What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 10 AM - 6 PM Tuesday through Saturday.
How soon should I place my order?
We accept limited orders each week. Therefore, to ensure that we are available, please make your order as soon as possible.
Since all of our cakes are baked and decorated once you order them, please place your order at least one (1) week in advance. On occasion we are able to do same week orders if the order is at least 2 days prior to your event. Please contact us to find out if our schedule can accommodate your order.
Do I have to pay for my order in advance?
Yes. A $50 deposit is required to process your order for celebration cakes (birthday, anniversary, shower, etc). For weddings, a $100 deposit is required to hold your date. On wedding cake orders there is a non-refundable/non-transferable $100 deposit required to reserve your date, and the balance must be paid in full at least three (3) weeks prior to your event.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks and credit cards.
Are your products nut-free?
We do have nuts in several cakes, such as our carrot cake and our italian cream cake and some cakes have a nut extract, such as our almond cake. Although we do our best to avoid it, there could be some cross contamination and we cannot guarantee all of our products are nut free. We suggest that you tell us about any allergies before placing the order so we can advise you of the best options for you and your family.
Can any of your cakes be made with sugar substitutes, reduced fat products or gluten free?
Not at this time.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Delivery and setup is included for cakes over $150 to Little Rock, North Little Rock and Maumelle. For cakes under $150, delivery to these areas is $35. Delivery and setup charge outside of these areas is $1.00 per mile round-trip based on Mapquest mileage from the shop to the delivery site.
Do you ship cakes?
We do not ship our cakes.
How do I transport my cake home? What if it is damaged?
The support system that we use was designed specifically for cakes being picked up by customers. It is very secure all cakes should travel safely. However, sudden stops and quick turns cause the most damage to cakes in transit. Drive as if there is a 5 gallon bucket full of water to within 1 inch of the top, especially if you are traveling with a tiered cake.
- Always carry cake boxes in a level position.
- Always avoid, if possible, bumps and holes in the road.
- Always try to avoid making sharp turns and rapid stops.
- Always brace box with heavier object to keep box from sliding.
- Always keep vehicle cool.
- Never hold boxes.
We are not responsible for cakes once they are out of our hands. This includes cakes picked up and setup by customers and cakes damaged after it has been setup at the venue by Seasons of Love Cakes.
Isn’t it cheaper to get a fake cake with sheet cakes in the back?
No. The majority of the cost of a cake, especially in a wedding cake, is the actual time it takes to decorate. The cost of the Styrofoam dummies can cost as much as the cost of cake supplies. In addition, there is still the cost of decorating the dummy and the cost of the baking and decorating the kitchen cakes.
